Blogger vs Wordpress (2018) : Blogger Better Than Wordpress?

Is Blogger Better than Wordpress?

A word Answer = 'Yes'
I think Blogger is Better than Wordpress. In my openion bloggger stands up in comparision with wordpress for blogging platform.  Here are some reasons for that.

1. Cost : Blogger is totally free. Actually wordpress itself is a free open source platform but the hosting that we should buy separately makes it worth much. In other side blogger provides free .blogspot subdomain and unlimited hosting.

2. Simplicity: Blogger is very simple and easy to use. Anyone can grow up with own blog using blogger. But to use wordpress one should have some knowledge on website working mechanism. For blogger one can use existing google account to sign in, choose a address and get started posting on blog.

3. Easy Monetization: Blogger as google platform, It's very simple to apply for adsense and monetize blog. Without going out of blogger website you can apply for showing adsense ads and start earning.

4: SEO : Although many people thinks wordpress is good for SEO and is true in many cases. But blogger also is not too bad. If you have good SEO techniques blogspot blog can also rank 1st in google search result. You have option to customize meta tags, robots.txt file etc or keep it automatic.

5: Security: Google handles security of your blogspot site. The recent update in blogger provides free SSL certificate for custom blog which you should bye for wordpress blog paying a lot of money every year. As wordpress is self hosted you are responsible for any security issues in wordpress blog.

6. Templates and Plugins: There are a lot of professional templates for wordpress and uncountable plugins. But not so much for blogger. Still there are essential widgets available and a lot of customization you can do on them in blogger. You can add custom themes in blogger too.

Finishing: We discussed on 6 topics here which  may lead people choosing blogger as right platform to start blogging. I didn't talk much about wordpress because I used it for a couple of month and ended hating it. Still remember that more than 25% web is running on wordpress.
